DeSalvo Catering and Restaurant starts with our owner, Richard DeSalvo and his upbringing right here in Rome NY. It's all about the homemade Italian Cuisine he grew up eating at his grandparents and parents' house and the food he prepared for his own family. Rich not only perfected those recipes, he has elevated them to bring a unique culinary experience to his patrons.

We offer elevated Italian-American comfort classics and favorites to please every palate. From "The Taverna" a hand breaded bone in pork chop over a bed of roasted potatoes covered in fried peppers to the "Willard" a white garlic pizza with long-hots. Of course, we have the instant classic Chicken DeSalvo, a cutlet served over roasted potatoes topped with roasted red peppers covered in DeSalvo sauce (A white wine cream sauce) - this food is steeped in Rome's culinary tradition.

Our Place
"The Shoppe" started as a food truck, quickly becoming one of the most in demand food trucks in central NY and then quickly evolved into a brick and mortar restaurant. Now we are proud to serve our delicious Italian-American food from a central restaurant location in our hometown of Rome.

Our staff takes the same pride in their work as our owner and we set out to make every patron's visit exceptional.
